@escape...... yeah I was saying that the other day. We need the rain badly but I don't know if we need it bad enough to want a hurricane. We have been very lucky the past few years and I think we're due. Last year we had a small one and got 11" of rain in one day!

WOW! I love the rain. Much more than the heat and sun, but wow!! That's definitely flooding weather.

hiya teeodd and escapegirl-dont talk about rain- weve had nothing but the past weeks- the town has been cut in two by floods and i have summer holiday at the moment

Yeah it was pretty bad. My whole neighborhood flooded (not my house) you couldn't drive on any of the streets they were covered in water

i think this is a bit of a world thing at the moment- although the north of the country has just sun and summer- its the boring east that is inundated here-im off on holiday next week looking forward to getting away from water- on a sailing tour hahahahaha
