Ehhhhh. No, 5th grade math is hard (apparently) It's really about half and half. I'm calling the parents of the kids who usually do well, but didn't this time. Because they didn't TRY to do well. That's what I have a problem with--if you don't understand, that's partially my fault. If you choose not to read carefully and try to solve it, then you're being lazy and that's unacceptable.
@Sandbox--Yes, I'm sick of whining. "Do I HAVE to show my work? Do I HAVE to sit out at recess to finish this paper?"
@Iva, Ah, very good. This reminds me of something.. a teacher said once to me that I was kicking teachers against their heads by being too opinioned/bloody-minded. I told her that if that was true they should have the guts to tell me this in person and there was no such thing as being TOO bloody minded. And no, the due date is October the 7th.
@Crimson
I really think you are a good teacher! It is annoying that they don't even try... What age are they again?
@Sandbox
I like it! I always have all the trouble in the world picking something from a menu
@Adventure Well, that was very 'bijdehand' of you We should have been in the same class, we would have driven our teachers insane!!
The 7th?? But that's next week! Do you think she'll wait?
