I've been able to talk to my husband's friend who was there last night, and so I know the details now. Not that it makes any change, but somehow I needed to know it.
And it seems that our children are coping with the situation much better than me
When they came home from school, they started to ask me hundreds of questions, so I had to tell them what happened. It was very tough for me, because I didn't know how they would deal with it, but I was surprised as my son explained it to his sister with a plastic bag (=lungs), cut it, and then fixed it again. He told that first the fix would be weak, and this is why he has to sleep much. And once the fix gets stronger, he can wake up and breathe again normally, and then soon come home.
I was so overwhelmed, they have now their own picture about it, and have calmed down. They're about making drawings and other gifts for him when they can visit him
