  • Or, maybe she's just as looney as me. Hehe.

    @Iva...Husbat treats!!! ROFL! I'll have to tell him that. He'll get a kick out of it.

    Yeah, I used to have favorite shows, but I always have to miss them. So I know how it's a bummer to miss them. Can you record them?

      Rather technical. I want to make this Sea Legend a bigger adventure, but this time I really would like to includes human characters. Unfortunately I suck in creating 3D people, and the good models cost a lot. I'm not sure yet how I can solve this problem.
      I've also thought about using 2D characters, but I'm very bad with drawing as you've seen in my latest game....
      And animating characters properly needs also a lot of time and skills. I guess I need somebody for that part.

      Yeah, I love our feud with Renegade

        You tell him, and demand an endless supply
        Nope, I'm kinda old fashioned I guess, don't have a recorder, not even a dvd player

        @Mistery
        Oh, and I guess you can't use one of those creativity thread devices huh? Hmm... Maybe you could start another creativity contest!
        And I don't think you're bad at drawing at all!

        • Thanks Iva
          Well, I'm dreaming of creating a high quality game, you know? Like the games that you can buy. I mean I worked a LOT with GFARDTO's Revenge, but it didn't have to be perfect (animations etc.), because it was for fun. I think I need to cooperate with somebody who could do the character creation and animation part for the game. And I would also like to do lip-synching, so I'll need also voice actors.
          But with every game I learn more, so it's good to gather experience that I can use in my "dream project"

          • @Iva....Hehe. If you ever happen by the basement, you'll see there's no shortage of Husbat treats. There's even been an antidote made to stop all the smooches. Of course I ran and hid from it.

            @Mistery...I hope some day you can do your "dream" project.

            When you describe the animation and things you are talking about, are you thinking of games like "The Goat and the Grey Fedora" type games, or things much more realistic that that? (I just know I really like the animation in that one - though it's probably more cartoony than the realism you're looking for), and I know they use voice actors. I am sure you could find someone willing to help you with the artwork. Though, I agree with Iva...I didn't see any poor drawings of yours on the game.

            • You're ambitious! That's a good thing If you want, I can ask around. I have some friends in IT, my 'best friend' is a graphic designer, so he might be able to help you and other friends have a flash development business. Who knows But, I guess you have contacts of your own And for the voice actors: I bet the kitty would love to do that, she can be an actress!
              Just let me know if there is anything I can do

              @Escape
              Really? You must have smooched a lot for the bunny (I'm guessing it was her ) to make an antidote!

              • @ Iva....Weeeeeeeell, the bunny has been a bit too busy... There was however this alien who seemed to think it was a problem.

                Btw, I know people who don't even have t.v., much less a DVD player or DVR, or VCR.

                  Well, yeah animations like in that game. But Sea Legend should be more realistic, not cartoon style. But maybe it will become cartoon style if I have to work with 2D characters.
                  I'm not really sure yet, I have a rough story idea, and a couple of background screens, e.g. like http://gamershood.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2677
                  But since I'm not sure yet how to solve the character problem, I'm stuck and have motivation problems.
                  But this is really my dream project, so maybe I just need time until things get clearer, and I can take decisions - like a maturation process of it.
                  And I know big projects aren't done in a few weeks.

                  @Iva
                  I know, I'm ambicious But yeah, that's my dream.
                  Btw, I've thought of Escape for voice acting
                  Yeah, I have some connections, but most people are busy with their own stuff, and getting solid/reliable people (who really do the job, and not just say they would do it) for working for free is difficult. I'd appreciate if you could ask around, who knows, maybe there might be somebody who could help.

                  Btw, I've also thought of using another software that can make 3D games, but they don't work on my old laptop
                  Well, let's see, maybe one day I get enough money for a good and fast new pc. You see, a lot of things are unclear at this moment

                  • @Mistery....I had a feeling you meant for your ultimate dream project, it would be much more realistic. Well, I will also ask around. I have some friends who work in IT, and others who enjoy working with graphic designs. I don't know how many of them have time for it...but I will certainly get the word out.

                    I had seen that background, and I wish I could just float there in the sea. Looks like a good storm came and attacked a ship. *feels silly for loving storms so much*

                    Oopsy...hit POST REPLY before I was ready. Anyway, you are right..dream projects may take a VERY long time. But think how happy and proud you will be once it's completed!

                    And I'd love to audition for voice acting, should you ever need someone. I work for free.

                          I'll ask around for you My friend just started his own one man business, so he might appreciate some free publicity. There are a lot of people from all over the world who will play your game one day
                          Ah, that is a problem... Maybe we should organise an Alien benefit party

                          • We could have a GH party, and members could attend (in REAL life) and we could take donations at the door for Mistery's game developent. (Of course that won't ever happen for safety reasons - it would be nice to do!)

                              Yeah, good idea with the benefit party
                              Thanks for asking around
                              Hehe, of course it was me, I even made a forbidden sign

                              @Escape
                              Thank you, that would be really great!
                              Yeah, it can even be that I finish the project as gift for myself for my 40th birthday or sth like that

                              Maybe I should add a donation possibility on my website, I've though about that, maybe it would help if there may be people who are ready to give a small donation.
