I have a problem in DF I flooded my farm too full and now I am going to have to dig a channel to drain the water... *Sigh* That will pull my dwarves away from digging out the throne room and tomb for my leader... I could get my mason to stop building stone coffers and help out but then I would be behind on my bedroom building! Eep the choices *Vonfusion occurs*

Funja - Oh right sorry *Looks* Hmm it's really good... I like the tunnel! I'm not so good with all them illusions... If I had to make a tunnel it would probably be a black box

LOL and what game did you say you were playing

Funja - DF it's a downloadable game (I posted it on here but it has yet to be accepted)
It requires alot of micromanaging that distracts you You start with 7 dwarves that have professions from wrestling, to fish cleaning to masonry to just about everything You need to carve out a fortress and set up defenses against them goblin invaders or the evil ELEPHANTS! Yes that's right elephants can kill your entire speices out if your in a haunted area or not careful (Well then again they are 10x your size) and basically do everything from mining to farming to building rooms and arenas, although it's not for the easily frusterated or the ignorant as it takes a while to learn how to do the basics (Took me about a half an hour) and days or even weeks to learn the full game! Very fun though... (Also it's not for people that cannot tolerate ASCII graphics)

Edit: This is what I get for not closing the flood gate too soon! LOL some salmon escaped and are now swimming around in my farm! Ah well that's dinner for my people

Funja - Well i'm not growing corn i'm growing plump helmets..(A large mushroom type breed) Although i'm sure it will alter the taste of the plump helmet ale when I brew it!

When the fishies jump out of the water again i'll try to take a screen show and show you my fish problem But they have been quite lately... My channel is nearly complete so I will show you the fishies doom when I let the water flow down to the lower levels

Well are you on a mac? If so then click the mac version If your not just choose a mirror... I chose number 1 (Also you need something to extract the rar file... I use winace... You can find it here, http://www.winace.com/ click download center and again choose one of the mirror's)
Also to organize it I made a folder titled "Downloads" then stuck another folder in there titled "A2k"(Don't ask why I cannot tell you xD) And in there I stuck yet ANOTHER folder titled "Dwarf fortress" I stuck the rar file in A2k then opened that and extracted the components to Dwarf fortress and then made a shortcut to the start... (If you need help ask xD)
Then when your done the download double click the rar file, it should open winace or whatever your using and have the programs, select them all and click extract and move it to whatever, once that is done just click the red DF and your started the game

Sorry I am slightly a nerd *Wonders if anyone can understand him when he speaks computer language*
Here it is step by step:
1. Do you have winace?
1.a. First go to http://www.winace.com/
1.b. Click download center and download the program, it's easier if you just put the winace short cut on the desktop..
2. Click on "Mirror 1" at http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/
3. Download it to someplace where you can access it (Read 3.a for tips on easy access)
3.a. Go to "My documents" and click file, create a new folder titled Dwarf fortress
4. Double click the file that you just downloaded, winace should open and there will be a long list of programs,folders etc.
5. Select all the files/programs and stuff in there
6. Click "Extract" and find the folder you made, select it, then click okay
7. Once it is finished go into the folder and delete the rar. file that you extracted from
8. Click the big "DF" and drag it to your desktop then double click it (Or just leave it there and double click)
9. Your game should now be open...
