@Jones.....I dunno...I've heard LOTS of jokes about having so many animals...but it sounds familiar. Maybe I'm just having a deja vu?
We had 16 peacocks.
@Yorick...Ah....well, you seem to still like it.
Wow!! You made me remember, we had rabbits more than once, too. LOL. I, personally, owned one horse, two dogs (got rid of both after not being good enough to potty train them. ), 2 cats, a rat, hamsters, and fish. The other pets were either mom's or my brothers. Though I always "adopted" baby chickens when they had them. So cute.
I used to give peacock feathers to my friends. They loved it when the male peacocks (the colorful ones) would start losing their feathers. We'd go around and collect them. So fun. I miss it.
I can't have any pets now. So now I'm in the same boat as you, Jones.
You did? *looks at you skeptically* Was it with the sloth you owned? (sorry - couldn't resist. ) Where I lived there were alligator lizards. Those were nasty, and moved FAST!
... just kidding, we didn't really have and alligator. but when i was in about 1sty grade or so, we had a dog that would walk to our school (a short ways away) and find us
I'm afraid of alligators AND crocs. And as far as the alligator lizards....they're just so FAST they creep me out. Too much like a snake. Yet, I had no problem catching the cute little blue-belly lizards and "hypnotizing" them by petting their cute little heads between the eyes. Then letting them go, of course.
