funny that- the economic community actually uses the big mac index-but petrol is becoming a really big issue- for me as well i travel a lot with my job as well as getting to my workplace! but people here are really unsympathetic to the us complaints as the prices have been so low for a long time-but if as you say wages don't support it- or contracts that have been agreed with lower prices, then there is really something to react to.

simply you don't offend at all- bush is a democratically elected, and internationally accepted leader- you are not only allowed; but encouraged, to criticise, support, and ask questions about his leadership and results- that's democracy!

@Six....Yeah, wages for the most part, are quite low here. And our minimum wage is only $5.75 an hour. I have heard of places in Europe where the minimum wage is near $20 per hour.....But yeah, I can see why Europeans think the Americans have little to whine about when it comes to gas prices. I almost fell over when I heard what you guys pay there.

your opinion is the most important in the world- if you don't feel that you are willing to do something with it- or let somebody represent it, then it's not worth anything- your opinion is not offensive- when you say that someone else's is or not worth anything, then it becomes that-everybody has a right to their own opinion- but that right includes the responsibility to allow others their opinion without fear of reprisal

escape- the minimum wage here is around £20 an hour- and unless you work on the lump-or black or out of a union or whatever, everybody gets that
