Almost makes me think that he goes all crazy on a bunch of zombies, when really he could have done something else.

Yeah? Well, I have an idea....but it's pretty violent...so I'm not gonna type it here. But I have a feeling I might be right. And if so, then I think it's probably just done for the "excitement" of the viewers, even though it was unnecessary for the character to go berserk.
