LOL, Jones. We have rednecks in the north, too. And materialistic, self-absorbed people in the south. And we're VERY diverse in California, also. (But don't get me wrong, we have plenty of wonderful people all over California, too. )

@Escape: I don't like the people who think that because they live in Miami, or Los Angeles, or Detroit, or NYC, etc. that they can deal with anything and that they're so tough. Being perfectly honest, Miami is SUCH an overrated city.

Pfft! Yeah right! Rednecks in northern California? Never heard of such a thing.

Oh, OK, well I'll admit that I make fun of Miami (even though it's very close to my city).

It seems on those shows where they show "amazing crimes" or something it's either somewhere random in the state of Florida or Los Angeles.

Man, I hate Alabama too.

I know!! Like COPS or something. I've never even been to LA. Been to San Diego though. Love it there! Wish I could go there more often.

I can't make fun of my city, EXCEPT for a certain gay neighborhood in it. It's very infamous.

Hehe. My city/area is pretty famous too. But I can't say why/where without giving out my location. LOL Same situation as you not being able to name that neighborhood. Gotta be safe on the net.
