  • Gamershood Forums not Loading

I'm having trouble on my computer with Gamershood Forums not loading. I can play the games on the front pages, but I can't get to the hints and walkthroughs, either. I've turned off my popup blocker, but it still won't load. Any help is appreciated.

(I'm borrowing someone else's computer for this).

Are you still having this problem, Purp?

Would you please try using this site from your pc for the forum page(s):

Check if a website or service is down or having problems and report your problems! Click now to check/report problems!

That site helps us know if it's a problem for many, or if it might be a setting or something on your PC that's causing this problem. I know there have been times when some of European friends have no problems accessing the forums, but where those of us here in the States, have problems. I do not know the cause of this, though. Anyway, please let us know.

I tried the website, and it says GH is up and running just fine. I also cleared out my browser, scanned and defragged my computer. Still nothing. Someone even said I might've been banned, but wouldn't I also get a formal warning (or some sort of heads-up) if that were the case? I hate using 2 computers for my surfing....*sigh*

It's possible your ISP is blocking it, but that would be odd because you still can connect to the game site of gamershood. Still it could be that.

Maybe this topic can help you:

I hope the site Adventure posted gave you some hope. Maybe it's just a temporary "outtage" from your ISP?

But I do want to confirm that no, you are NOT banned. And yes, before someone gets banned, they are given multiple warnings. Then, if a banning does take place, they do receive a message when logging into the forums stating such.

Have you tried using a different browser, as well? Opera, Firefox, etc.?

No, I have a computer with limited space, so I cannot have a lot of different browsers on it. Thanks for the idea, though.

Purp, are you still having issues with getting on the forums?
If so, do you get an error message like "page couldn't load" or something else, or just a blank screen?

(Btw, members are not banned out of the blue without warning, unless there is a very good reason for it. Additionally, a banned member will see a page that tells him/her that they have been banned when they try to come to the forums)

No error messages and nothing else, just no...forums, at all. I'm wondering if it's a setting that I changed by accident...Thanks for the heads up on banning. That's what I suspected, and I have better things to do with my time then be banned from a site I love.

So you are getting a blank page? If you look at the task bar does it says done or is it still loading without that the loading of the page ever finishes?

The taskbar shows it loading and says it's done, but I'm still on the front page.

Edit: We solved it. My computer only has 512MB of Memory.
