And I'm going to wait for a while before I start posting it tho...

nooo your not stupid. a lot of the chapters are missing bacause of the content. i have to edit them and repost. what chapter are you on?



Oh, and just for those who are on the second book. DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE NOT DONE WITH THE FIRST BOOK. just thought i would remind you.

As I had thought before, Courtney didn’t tell anyone. I knew she wouldn’t. We were in history class and our teacher was “teaching”. Rose looked like she was just zoning out. The teacher ranted about something in 1912.
I looked over at Rose. She stared blankly at the window. I wondered what she would think if I asked her to be my girlfriend. Second time that thought crossed my mind. I couldn’t take my gaze off her as she made faces at whatever she was daydreaming about. Her eyes drooped. Had she gotten enough sleep last night?
“Rose, do you know the answer?” the teacher called on her. She jolted and looked at the overhead.
“1912.” She said. I was stunned. She wasn’t even paying attention and she got it right.
“Correct, now, as you can see, this right here is the most important…” the teacher went off on something else.
“You just guessed…didn’t you?” I leaned toward her.
“Maybe…” she looked the other way, looking very innocent.
“That’s amazing. You even got the answer right!”
“What can I say? I’m talented.” She smiled at me.
“I guess so.” I smiled back, then quickly scolded myself for being so direct. I didn’t even know if she felt the same way. The bell rang and Rose was out of her seat quickly. I looked at her, confused. She didn’t notice.
“Wow! This was actually the best week of my life!” Her eyes beamed with happiness.
“Oh? And why is that?”
“In Florida, I went to summer school every summer during my high school years. I worked so hard that at the beginning of my senior year there I only needed one credit and I would graduate! I’m hoping I can get into a good college…” she trailed off.
“And that has to do with this being the best week of your life…how?”
“I don’t have to do any work. I know all this stuff anyways, so if you need a study buddy, I’m always there.” she smiled widely.
“Ah, I get-cha now. What do you do with your spare time?” she looked pained. Wrong question.
“Well…other than…you know…I like to practice my guitar. It keeps my mind off pain for a while. Like, say, four or five hours.” I was astonished.
“Wow, that’s a lot of hours to practice. How good are you?”
“I’m writing a song now…but I don’t have a title yet. I can play it for you sometime. I don’t have stage fright.” Her facial expression changed slightly, but I didn’t want to ask.
“I’d like that. Tomorrow, be ready by four-thirty, the movie starts at five. And I’m very punctual.” Of course, because I’m a vampire with more time on his hands than any human.
“I’ll keep that in mind while I’m taking four and a half hours to do my hair.” She said, sarcastic.
“Ha, that’s how most of the girls here are. Spending three or four hours to straighten their hair.”
“Don’t act like you don’t straighten your hair.” She laughed a little. “Just kidding.”
“I do straighten my hair.” I said, being very serious. “Every morning.”
“Really?”
“No.” I smiled.
“Smartass…”

Karen looked at me with a curious look. I was very anxious.
“What’s with you?”
“I’m excited. But I’m also afraid.”
“About what? Seeing a movie?” she seemed confused.
“No. I’m going to ask Rose to be my girlfriend.” Her eyes got huge and her mouth pulled into a smile.
“Do I get to meet her? Is she going to come over?” I could hear her heart accelerating. Panic gripped me.
“Karen! Calm down! I don’t want you to have a heart attack!” I was frantic.
“Oh…” she said, slumping back into her chair and continuing to knit something.
“I’m sorry. It just worries me.”
“It’s okay, big brother. I understand. I am getting old now.” She sounded even more aged. Pity shrouded my mind.
“Karen. Just the other day you told me you could lift a hundred and fifty pounds. What happened to that spirit?”
“It fell asleep.” I couldn’t help but to laugh. She smiled. Continuing to knit, she zoned out. I knew this conversation was over.
I made my way to my room, trying to think of something to do with my spare time. Rose crossed my mind again. Her beautiful face was everywhere in my mind. I worried slightly, because it seemed I was getting my hopes up very high.
Tomorrow was the day. The day that we would go see a movie…the day I would ask her that vital question. If she said yes I would be the happiest vampire on Earth.
I plopped on my bed and continued to think. Everything was perfect right now…just perfect…
