It has to do with boating and it is about being seen!

Not hard for me! It's a radar reflector used to make sure other boats can pick you up on their radar, its most commonly used in small crafts made of wood or fiberglass due to the fact that they are picked up poorly by radar, like your sailboat! I only know because one of my many tasks when I worked at this company was to install them!
