      @RBS
Hmmm, not really. But it's indeed used to measure sth.

      EDIT
      No windchime.

      • It looks weighted. Something to measure pressure under water, or maybe how fast the flow of water is? Sorta like an anchor that measures such things?

        • That thing looks weird. But I know I've seen it.

          • Grrrrr. The only gauges I have ever seen close to those are on my electric and water meters and the people come read those.

            Grrr grrr grrr.

            • @Escape
              You're VERY near
A bit more info where you'd put it? Or what it measures more exactly?

              • I was thinking you'd either put it off the side of a ship, or maybe hang it off a dock.

                • Okay, accepted Escape, you are near enough

It's a harpoon ship's log, that is attached to the ship - it measures the travel distance as it is pulled through the water.

                      • Nope. Not a boar. But I added a second pic so you could see it better.

                        • Javelina?

                          Comment

                          • No....I can tell you it's in the same family as hippos and swine (pigs). That should help narrow it down a bit.

I have to leave in a couple minutes, so I will post another clue here:

                            Good luck!

                            • Sorry, Escape, but I still say it's a javelina (also known as peccary).
                              Collared Peccary (Javelina)

                              EDIT
If it's still not correct, then someone else needs to figure it out - if it's correct, someone else may take my turn after Escape's confirmation. I'll be off to bed soon.

                              • You're correct, Mistery! Sorry, I didn't see that Javelina name in the article, so I didn't think it was right. So sorry! But you're correct! WTG.
