Well, I'm from the west coast USA. (But I won't tell where. ) And I thought I'd show ya a side of our area that maybe you don't see much in the movies. So often everyone thinks of west coast beaches as sunny, warm, and covered with people. That's not like the beach where I am from. Too cold for that. But I love our beach the way it is. And I'm glad it's never crowded. Anyway, I went to the beach today, and took a few pics while I was there. Some are just some pretty flowers that only grow along the beach. You won't find them inland. Enjoy.

I am from Florida (Although many of you know that because of my state pride ), and I'm only a few hours away from Darknight. I can tell you for a fact that it is NOT jam-packed with old people waiting to die, okay? The only boring part of Florida that I can think of is North Florida (except for Gainesville and Jacksonville ); I can also tell you that Miami, for the most part, is a very overrated city. I'm a short drive away, so I know that. I will give you my county, Broward County, but I will not give you my city!

I will look for some pictures...
                              Here's some Gainesville :

...and here's my city I don't live on the water. :

I grew up in Texas in a rather flat area where a lot of rice was grown. The sounds of trumpeting geese flying over in enormous numbers will live with me forever. Development has changed a lot of that as Houston has always had attractive jobs and people needed a place to live. You can drive 100 miles in any direction and see just about every possible landscape except for desert and snow.

We probably will be the last state in the USA to "get" soccer as American football is still king.

There are lots of hidden treasures to see and this is one of my favorite places. A sculpture factory sits near downtown Houston and they don't mind visitors coming in to walk the grounds. I have used for for my profile pic since joining and this is more of what the whole place looks like.
