they check each window in turn, marking them as they went. Suddenly Lilli tugged a window which suddenly opened! they cheer in unison, but just as soon as the excitement came, misery returned.
"It's just another darn keypad"
Becky quickly typed 'the numbers' in, but nothing happened.
"What! I don't understand" exclaimed Becky "it has worked every other time!!"
"GREAT!" shouts Dazed "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US!!!" Then out of sheer frustration she threw herself against a window...sliding down the glass sobbing. As she reached the bottom, she lifted her head...
"Err, guys....are there numbers on your window ledge, because there are some here, it looks like some kind of code!"

"There are so many other windows to check" says Lilli
"Yes we all are really tired. I don't see any harm spending the night here and wait for the morning to come. Well it won't make any difference if it is morning but we should relax a little" says Becky
"We will find a way soon" ensures Dazed
"Yes we will" says Becky and they smile at each other.
*Becky, Dazed and Lilli sit down close to each other and think about all that happened in such a short time. Everything is changed but we have to get it back to normal. They keep repeating the words *Yes we will. Yes we will* They talk for a while and then fall asleep.*

*wakes up in his room and looks around* Huh? Where am I. .. I thought I was dead. . . but wait. . . my room is hell, and after all the bad things I've done means. . . I'm. . still alive. . .

*the person Hyper thought he saved was not really Escape. It was just a clone the creature had put out. Escape, still gagged and tied up in room 42 lies in stillness, unconscious on the floor. The glowing serum streaming through her veins. She dreams of being saved by her friends...*

meanwhile, in the window room...

Becky and Lilli awoke to see Dazed frantically scribbling over the walls with chalk. Curiously Becky and Lilli moved closer to see what Dazed was so busy writing. On the walls were a series of numbers and letters. At first they just looked like a jumbled mess, but as they moved closer they could see that there was a clear message.
"Last one....there" Dazed grinned, writing one last letter on the wall. "I thought I'd make a head start while you to slept in!!"
Becky and Lilli looked at Dazed in wonderment, wondering how she could possibly have had time to write all the numbers from the windows, and decode them so quickly...even if she had got some sleep, it would take an average person at least a couple of days to do.
"Don't mention it!!" Dazed said, making fun of Becky and Lilli's shocked faces. "Anyway, as you can see, we have a message. Care to read it out Becky??"

"Well I can't", said Lilli, "cuz it all looks like scribbles to me", still caught in amazement of the fact that she had an answer right infront of her and yet no concept what it could mean. "How did Dazed managed that?" she thought in amazment as Dazed smiled in triumph as though she had dicovered the answer to the riddle of what had been happening to the hotel of late.
The snake Lilli had made friends with last night came crawling out of some dark corner and coiled up ner Lillis feet. It hissed and kept a watchful eye on Becky and Dazed. Lilli petted the snake with her hand as if to calm it down.

"Wow Dazed, that was amazing. I should have known you would solve it as you are so good at riddles." says Becky
*The snake still made the hissing sound at Becky's every word.* Lilli continued to pet him to make him calm.
Becky read out the message to Lilli and Dazed....

"Well done. I see that you have managed to crack the code. You are clever!!! But lets make this more fun.
Now, I'm going to give you a riddle. The answer to the riddle is the answer to the keypad. Best of luck"

I am a three digit number of which when you subtract my inverted self I become a 198. Then if you add those numbers, the sum will be the addends of 9

"I'll tell you what you are", said Lilli in an angry voice," you are...CRAZY if you think I'm gonna guess that!!!". Snake hissed and moved around, upset by the tone of Lillis voice. Lilli gave away a few hissing sounds and it turned towards her making moves that looked like a dance. Lilli waved her hands and it seemd as though they were communicating through their movements. "Ok, so the snake is smarter than me", said Lilli looking very embarrassed.
