Glad your OK Crimson. My usual routes this morning were clear and the usual low spots were flooded again. It was scary listening to the radio DJ's telling their stories of getting to work for the morning shows. One guy on 104.1 had to be rescued but decided to go on into work leaving his car stranded so he could relay the dangers on the air.

We got lots of rain last night... over 10 inches in some areas. Some school districts are closed, some areas are being evacuated... definitely some major flooding going on. Thankfully, my area's pretty clear right now, and the rain seems to have stopped.

Seems we sent that warm weather your way. We're cooling off after record breaking highs at the beginning of the week.

Alright, I'll spill, I live in Racine Wisconsin.
Right now, rain, cold, just a crappy day. I'm stuck inside with the flu anyway, so I don't mind.

@RBS....Glad the zoo thought ahead about sending people home. That's awful! We have never had such rains here.

We had huge rain Saturday, the kind that makes the streets instantly flood in the concrete city. I was volunteering at the zoo for Earth Day and the whole place had to shut down by 11 am to make sure people got home safely. Thank goodness for weather radar and early warnings. Within another 3 hours people were stranded in their cars out on the roads all over Houston. Yesterday and today are beautiful.

We have 17-20°C, and a mix of sun and clouds, and a bit of rain in the next days.

They expect record breaking heat for tomorrow. 91 F (33 C). I think I'll wear light clothing and keep the a/c on.
