It's comin' down again! Hope we get at least 6 inches, tho I'm thinkin more 8-10.This is good for us,here in the high desert we're perpetually in a drought.I sat outside on Christmas day enjoyin' the sun a couple of years ago.

Glad they gave yall 5 minutes to romp. I drove downtown around noon and offices were starting to empty out. The snowflakes were enormous and everyone just seemed mesmorized and smiles were everywhere. Got into the neighborhoods and all schoolyards were full of kids having snowball fights.

Roads stayed wet but never slippery.

@Freddie....Sounds like fun. But I'm not one to drive in snow. Scared of it. Only driven in it a couple times. One was over the Sierra Nevada mountains during a snow storm that they didn't expect until the next day. Scared the heck out of me. SO HIGH up there, and my car was sliding in the snow, despite my very low speed, and I had no chains (as the snow wasn't supposed to hit until the next day and I wouldn't have known how to put on chains anyway). I thought I was going to slide off a cliff.

@RBS....Sounds like how people drive in my area WITHOUT snow.
If you know how to drive in snow & have a place like I do to play in it it's fun.I'm an experienced snow driver, chains ain't really hard to put on,just a major PITA*,the ones for my truck weigh about 30 lbs each & you get wet & dirty.
All 3 of our vehicles are 4WD,but it don't help when you're tryin' to stop. The biggest mistake I see is people tryin' to go too fast, trust me,there's nothing you have to get to that's worth your life.

Up here at this altitude it's possible to get a really bad sunburn on sunny days with snow....don't ask how I know this

Some pics from our last big snow:

Hank (RIP) loved the snow,he'd sleep in it

This morning it was sunny here, but according to the weather forecast we should get snow, too.

Conditions are ripe for snowfall in Houston today. Maybe 2 inches coming. Wrecker drivers will earn a lot of Christmas money today the way we drive in it down here.

More snow, this time about 6-8 inches & still comin' down. This is good news here in the high desert since we always need moisture. Also we get to try out the our Jeep Patriot in the snow,Mrs. Freddie just drove to the store, about 6 miles & said it did great, even with the stock AT tires.
The skiers are jumpin' with joy.

How come we never got that rain? Hmph. We're having cooler nights and highs are still staying in the mid to upper 70's. Sunny.

We are starting to feel that same weather system. Tomorrow is going to be bad news for drivers since Houston floods so easily. Halloween is supposed to be nice though.
