yay, a thunderstorm!! flash flooding is not so great
our house is flooding and all the streets are flooded, cars are all smashed up. trees uprooted and a lot of sirens going off and car alarms. the hail stones are quite big about the size of golfballs . our lake that was all dried up is well and truly filled to the top and overflowing now and about 70,000 people don't have electricity

the thunder is so loud right now. my mum and cat are scared awww...
(i love thunder and lightning, the louder and flashier the better )
my sister met a man who'd been hit by the hail and had large red marks all on his legs when she walked to the park to get some photo's.
school's gonna be interesting tomorrow...some school's are closed tommorow, hope mine is too

school is officially closed for the rest of the week! wooh!! apparently this was the worst storm to hit perth in 50 years

We enjoyed another beautiful spring day today - what was the first official day of spring. And I called my mom in the midwest, and she was watching snow fall!

@Adventure.....I always complain about the heat. Makes me too sick! LOL I'd rather have the cold. Maybe not snow, though, cuz I don't think I'd be as talented as Freddie is when it comes to driving in it!

The first day of spring & we've got a foot of snow! It took me an hour to drive home from the gig last night, normally takes 15 minutes, cars off the road everywhere. They closed I-40 from Albuquerque to Tucumcari,175 miles.I almost had to rescue my poor dumb brother, even after a year here he still ain't got enough sense to stay off the freeway & take 66 instead of gettin' caught in a 35-mile long traffic jam.

I'd rather complain about being hot for 2 months than complain about a cool and rainy summer
But yeah, we're rarely happy with what we have

Hurrah!! I am glad spring arrived there, too.

I bet that in a few months we start to complain that it's too hot.

    Spring arrived here yesterday!
Two sunny days with temperatures around the 15 degrees Celsius. Crocuses are flowering everywhere, and my daughter plucked them all (in our garden).

The KNMI predicts rain the next days, but that's what they also said for the last rainless weekend. But the temperatures should stay above the 10 degrees Celsius.

Seems so weird to think people are still dealing with snow!!! We're into our spring weather already. The blossoms are almost gone on the trees now; replaced by green leaves. The daffodils which I consider to be the first signs of spring are almost gone now, too. Other lovely flowers are popping up all over. We have no rain forecast and today and tomorrow our temps are forecast for 75 F (approx. 23.9 C) So...we're in full swing spring!

I never worry about gettin' home, like I said,I'm experienced at driving in this stuff, even at night.
What I worry about are the idiots that have no business driving in it,they'll run the brights on their cars, they can't see & it blinds oncoming drivers like me.

In the unlikely event of me gettin' stuck I can wait it out,I carry survival stuff: blankets,an MRE or 2,a gallon of water, first aid kit,a small shovel,Maglite, matches & lighter...and the one thing that a lot of people forget to pack, that most precious of modern commodities,a roll of TP

I'm just glad that you got home safely
Yeah, I can understand that your brother decided to wait.
Wow, this year's winter was pretty tough (very cold and much snow) in many parts of the world.
After freezing temperatures and a bit of snow in the past days, finally we got again milder temperatures. Hopefully it will last for a while...

We got a freakin' foot of snow Sunday night,it started about 5:00 & when I drove home from the gig at 7:30 there was already 4-6" on the road & whiteout conditions, took me 45 minutes to get home, usually takes 15 minutes.I had to lock the transfer case when I got to our roads, the slush on top the mud was incredible. My brother was visiting from Texas & got his 2wd truck stuck, but he didn't want to deal with it that night,so he waited 'til it was frozen at about 5 am & managed to get it out.

Of course now we're back to Mudpit City.

Haha, that reminded me of something that would happen over at a friends house years and years ago. We would clean our shotguns and his Mom would become frantic...she hated guns. She would get excited and her voice was get all high and would holler at us OUTSIDE OUTSIDE, get those guns OUTSIDE! Except the word outside would sound like OW-SIGH. We would laugh and say OK we are going OW-SIGH.

Hope the weather gets better so your cabin fever gets cured.
