hi!
im having troubles with beating the four princesses.
i wonder: i have all 100% protection (ice, fire, poison) and my chars (alan, jack & hook) still get frozen and burnt and poisoned! grrrrr!
what i find most annoying is that i save the game with full health and when i log in again the health and DP are gone down?
hmmm.
somebody give me a hint please how to knock out those princesses!

Make sure you have looooots of those heal all char. potions. Do you have the best weapons and armor possible? You can get the best in the Dwarven village. I recommend having at least two characters with the heal status spell to deal with the fire and ice. I had the same problem with the HP and DP not being saved, so don't refill them just before a save. Have you defeated Vincent? The prize you get from him is a huge help in defeating the princesses. Focus all three characters on one princess at a time and attack her till she's out of the way. It will take a loooong time to beat them, but it is possible.

working on this in spurts - off to see if I can find the pea tonight. Always wonder if my level up is high enough for next part of the adventure.
Think Im lvl 9 now.
We all died before we got there .. all got frozen .. oh dear. .. enough for tonight. after midnight.
lvl 10 - wandering about fighting to get my lvls up before going after pea again. QUESTION can I presume Im wearing the best outfit? or how do you outfit into better item?
Went back to cobbler's thinking with all the mles on these shoes I should get new ones. He just replies as he did before. Maybe later when my soles fall off. lvl 11. Maybe shopping before heading to mts. for anothr try. Tme to save and have some coffee on porch and fix dinner.

Don't fight Pea.

To get better outfits, visit the shops in the villages. In each town, there is a potions shop, a weapons shop, and an armor shop (sometimes the last two are in the same building). The best of all three can be found in the Dwarven village.

ok i got a question, ive returned with the apple and now she wants me to get the cookie, where is the cookie? ive checked with the witch in the candy shop and shes got nuthin for me? sooo, what am i doing wrong? can i get some help?

You need to get the ingredients for the cookie. To find out what they are, go to the witch in the back of the witch's hut.

Sorry for the late reply. Check back in the thread a bit, I've posted the characters I used and all tips I know of. I'd recommend the same things I posted about fighting the Princesses, because alone, he's almost as tough as all four of them together.

lvl 11 and I did figure out to read guide *grin* so I could use magic. I'm slow! Maybe ready to head for pea?

Thunderstorm sent me off-line. Back tonight for a bit.
Dratted short people and their fire! Back to store. Tomorrow maybe back to fight short folks.
29 Aug - back again and on way to find pea. Just lvl up to 13. wondering if that is enough. Need a store!
Found store. And found Princes - who wants something first or a battle. So? Where do I get that item? (the bed is calling - so will read posts tomorrow to see if someone left a clue.)

guess I'll check out dwarftown. then maybe back to farm to see if they have a replacement PEA. Maybe Sleeping would be closer to look into.

I figured it out . and I'm almost there but need to wrap it up for today, do emaill, and get the pup out. I've questions but no one around any more.
30th - have another question. will read posts ..have wolf and off to get apple. lvl 14 at the moment. I have pea and wolf with me now and pea has died twice. Haven't figured out what they are using on her - will buy her a better outfit when we get to a better store.. That's it for tonight.
Sept 1 - on toward apple. Had to hunt game - they are not in same order. Made it to town - need a charge card! LOL
Found the tree! Meanie tree - very nasty. Using up my heals like crazy.
Made it back to witch's house. Ghost spell? several things popped up that I didn't get .. and they are now attacking in town!
At the farm - hunting for "over the hill" for the rasin. Got to call it a day.
Sept 4 - at last back to play. At last found item! and now can move on to the mill.

south western area

Now shopping before Dwarven Villiage. Shoped there and just one more item before heading to Halloween town again. That is enough for today. It would be nice to have an idea as to how much damage on the "enemy" still needs to be done.
7th - back for a bit - have all I need and headed to Halloween - lvl 19, 18 & 18. cookie & then potion for something .. was I told?
8th - why don't I have a mountan man to lead us across the mountains? Have potion and heded to probably Dwarven first to upgrade weapons. Just need tons of $. Got side tracked with dinner, email, other things but have played this off and on today. Took time to read some of the posts.

reply to redfern about apple tree

they tell you to take the wolf when going up against the apple tree, the wolf is immune to the trees main attack, if you are still having trouble beyond that i would suggest make sure you have plenty of life potions with you, also when i fought the tree, all my characters i were using had the best armor and weapon from dwarven city, unfortunately right around the place with the best armor is not the best place to gather money, on the way to sleeping city from drowsy gate or dwarven village after you pass the opening between the mountains but before the little bridge is the best place to gather money without the longest distance to get back

I started over - want to upgrade a bit before heading to gate after gobler. I noted in my post above - see Sept 4 - where to find raisin.
Been to gate for the cobbler (sure misspelled the first time) HATE having to start over but curious about the ending.
LVL 6 and have key made by cobbler. Enought for tonight. It is 1 a.m.
Sept 14 - past the gate an got instsructions to go to Darkville. So off to the witch.
Who sends me to farm for Tom Thumb's seed. Got it - now off for the pea. Who uses the mirror?
Have to go to sleeping to get a new pea for the trade. My team is not in the best shape. Now that is done, so tomorrow a trip to give the girl a fresh pea.
Sept 16 - just trying to raise a bit of $ to shop before that trip. My battles are not paying well either.

Allen lvl 12 at this point - I'm heading to make swap for pea. I've done that and now off for Darkville to chat with the witch. but that is for tomorrow.
And now She is sending me for the apple in the woods - but must find the wolf first at the wolf guild in Halloween town. My Alan is lvl 13.
Have the Wolf with me now and spent some money on him. Got to shop near cobblers. which is enough for today.
Now at store on way to forrest. Just an hour to play tonight.
Need to rob a bank *grin* in town to upgrade armor and not enough money to do what I want. Thunder storm - so going off-line.
I don't remember the apple tree being so hard to find - tons of battles! Walf not tellng me thing!
