I know I'm stupid, but I'm stuck with the pizza on the table, all the veggies chopped and on it, just the spice, spoon, and knife in my inventory and cannot seem to do anything else. Help!?!

Have you tried to put the spices beside the pizza?

If you move your cursor toward the bottom left or right of the screen an arrow should appear.

You also need all the items in the kitchen before you can go on to the next room Make sure you close doors or drawers before you try to interact with something else

Me too, I can't find any hotspots on the plant or bin and am giving up

There are

two hotspots on the bin next to the sink. One goes inside and one goes under. It's a bit of a pixel hunt. When you see the bottom of the bin, there is a code but also another hotspot. It's on the longside of the bin, the lower furtest corner.
