cant seem to do anything else?

if looked behind the brick you should have another key.use it to turn on the light

if I remember correctly about the treasure chest

there was a green ring. I combined the ring with the green stick en opened the ladder to go up in the room with the shelve. but the green key-thing does not open the grey pannel in the treasure chest. or is it not supposed to do that?

i have ruler and rope combined,green key,flashlight,black thing, glass and brick

You're still missing

sort of a hook, that you need to combine with ruler/string
