amazed why your all struggling with a walkthrough link right there in the riddle.
I ruined my own game by going to the bedroom wardobe before getting the thing you put everything in so couldnt get the shotgun shells.
i stopped playing after that.

My progress

candle-used, matches - used, knife - used but can't get object YET, 3 keys - 2 used, hair - used, book-used, plunger (attached to a rope), coin, .. think that is it. read a book but can't follow directions for making sandwich.

After midnight .. and think I'll look for hints at this point.
backtracked - opened something, got an item that hides under a key in my inventory so I can't use it!!!
So I'm restarting ..

key under mat - to get in, key in pocket, key behind refrid - back to chest in hall which gave me screwdriver. Used that and got another key which lead to shotgun. Also got knife near shotgun. Picked up candle & matches before heading for shotgun cabinet. Tooth under pillow (I think) went in skull. Reason? coin. So at this point I've a coin, knife, shotgun and a key.

I'll have to restart tomorrow. Almost 1 a.m. and my son and his family arrived tonight. Tomorrow I'll have to play with the grandkids - tough job *grin* But I'll be back!

Problem with inventory

Although I feel this is a very interesting game, I found that when certain items overlapped each other in the inventory then the item stacked at the bottom became unusable thus impossible to complete the game.

First time my list was under a key thus I could not check back and refer to it. Second time I restarted the game, my screwdriver was behind some other key thus I could not use it to open the vent which made it impossible to continue the game. I will give up for now.

Maybe I will try afresh again tomorrow.
