You can open the square after you put the bottles in right order in the closet:

yellow red blue

Perhaps, the flags from safe are the hint, but I made it by try and error.

If I remember correctly you need to untie the curtain first.

Yeah, that's how I got the hammer.

untie the curtain first then go somewhere else and come back. click just about under the curtain like mad and you will find it there.
