So far I have

diskette(?), key, letter, walking stick (used), two lithium batteries(? used) and a pair of chopsticks(used).

PROGRESS: I also found

a scroll containing some clues about the positions of the knobs on the door but it's all japanese to me

Finally OUT although I still had a few unused items in my inventory

letter and key. As for the knob positions it was just a matter of luck in guessing them correctly!

1.: lots of people who say "I have.." phps. "found" and / or "...used", but do NOT say where they found of how used items. Same with people claiming "out" but not telling how! When will they ever learn....?

2.: another game NOT in english! I pray for the day this would not happen anymore...!

I don't think it would ever happen. There are only 400 million of native speakers of English language out of 6.5 billion population of the world

There is a difference between giving out hints and providing entire walkthroughs by stating the wheres and hows.

howdy

have cane, ?chip marked a D?, note, and key. knocked books down and looks like a loose page or something but can't pick it up.

used key to get a book, picked up chopsticks. I used cane to get the chip in the sofa while looking under it

used chopsticks in a hole and got another "chip" which evidently is second battery. Logical placement .. for those to items. Got a square item which I used in another hole and got a scroll - can only see part of it. Tried to force the code .. failed. I have an empty space in my items roll.

Just have 4 items I can use. Can't read two of them. May have to hunt a clue from others here.

use under or between sofa cushions to get battery - in a view where you are looking under the sofa

I had to take a break to toss together dinner and eat. I'm wondering if something is upside down. I'm missing item in 3rd space.
I tried a bunch of guesses .. going to have to pass. And can't find last item.
