Seems the clue was not quite enough for some. I have edited post #15 to include another hint.

I like this one. I need to try harder to escape before looking for hints!! Would have found the green ball is I had thought about it and taken notice when looking around the room.

Maybe I need to explain it better.

Remove all the letters that are not in the name of the colour. For example, When you insert the red ball, just look at the letters R, E and D. This gives the following;

D-E
E-D
ERR
--R
--D

Now if you draw a line through the letters, you get a number.

Really, the game was easy until I had to check if there were any hints for the colour code on the tv. Got the sequence but..
And after reading this I totally overdid it! Just as I was freaking out of frustration.. Suddenly it got to me
