And I think I've figured out the thing with the tape recorder. The sounds take a few minutes to load so you only hear sounds on a few keys at first.

i am stuck in room 2 it printed out a picture of a skull for me am i dead? i am stuck with a red key and nowhere to put it

If you have the red key then use it on the door that is opposite the CD player.
