Just started and I'm stuck already!

I've got

a grey rock (used), an empty bottle (can't even pick up!), a yellow piece of paper (sandpaper perhaps?) and a beetle (don't know what to do with it though!)

It appears that you can speak to the guard, but seeing as it's not an English game, nothing I type in is accepted.

Can anyone help me out here please?

EDIT: I've now found

a magnifying glass (seems magical!)

I didn't have to fill the bottle with water from the tap like others have seemed to. I just

added the gnome to the bug & dirt in the bottle

Yes, when you drink the potion you become a dwarf and can escape.

You have to be quick to catch the bug. It will start out in the bottom right corner of the window and goes across the bottom then up the left side and ends at the top left corner. You have to try to click on it, I found it was easier to keep my pointer in the corner and then click on the bug as it was moving from the bottom of the window to the side.
