the clues are on in the message on the wall that you can see after you use CD. No need to read japanese at all, and on the back of the cover.

just hard to guess out the code

hi Pokka,

the 'NEWS' word is important: news and time work together.
eg: if time is 23.59 news would be
N=2 E=3 W=5 and S=9

if time was 01:15
N=0 E=1 W=1 and S=5 and so on.

the clue behind the panel works in north south east west directions too.
ordinary C is East, Backwards facing C is West, Upside-down C is South and C facing upwards is North. (NEWS) This means that everytime a backwards C is shown, it will correspond to the time (numbers)that was given on the wall

sorry if I am not very clear:

the time works with the letters NEWS

and they go in the order of NEWS, hence if the time is 09:13

N E W S
0 9 1 3

if time is 12:20 then

N E W S
1 2 2 0



the c shapes work in North East South and West Directions, so,
if your code is backward c backwards c upward c upward c forward c

then they would be, W W N N E which means that if the time is 12:20, the code would be 22112

it is a different one,

you need to have the screwdriver for this part

screwdriver is behind the poster

You need to be facing North and click on the bottom part of the screen

this game can be solved without knowledge of the language.

The pictures work well here. The horseshoe (C) shapes are important. You need to work out how these make up the password I have tried to explain the solution to the password in an earlier post.

Congrats Kate, hopefully the hints helped in some way, the code would have read as in the spoiler if I have worked your fab symbols out correctly.

the code would have worked like this
N E W S
1 7 3 2
and the symbols would have been 21237332 (south(2), north(1), south(2), west(3), east(7) , west(3), west(3) and finally south (2) )
