ethel, to get the battery charger you have to

use the scissors on the wall above the desk, just keep clicking and you will find it, it's closer to the right side edge of the desk

found a bug: after you have taken the yellow paper from under the pillow you can take it again and again and again you just have to click at the right spot all the time (you still only have one paper tho)
