how do you get the tail off the cat by the door?

I can't get the cat to the fridge, When I click it, it goes to its food bowl

Just click the cat once to wake it up, then click spots on the kitchen furniture to guide the cat up to to fridge

I've read every single post.

I've completed both the puzzles, got into the computer, got all the keys and haven't been able to break of the cat tail, and frankly, I'm not sure why I'd have to. I'm missing the very bottom left corner of the torn paper and even though I've done everything AND gotten the ticket,

I can't get out of the ~BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP~ing room.

Frustration has settled in. I'll be in the corner bashing my skull against the wall...
