What am I doing wrong?

I cannot drag the apartment key onto the door for anything.

I don't know why it doesn't work for you, but I had problems with dragging items myself (especially the crowbar) before I noticed that I only could drag an item when the item description was showed.

I'm going to pretend I got into the apartment then. That game has more bugs in it than my last camping trip.

The voltmeter is

in the closet, on one of the lower shelves. You have to drag something out of the way first.

The toolbox is opened by

using the oilcan on what looks like the handle. You have to be pretty precise and put the tip of the oilcan right on the handle. Then use the crowbar on the toolbox.

Nin-Man - the key wouldn't work for me either so you're not on your own... I did the same and told myself i was in.... It was easier on my brain instead of fighting with it!!

Done... thank goodness. I had trouble with dragging some of the stuff to exactly the right spot.

You need to drag it onto the fuses as soon as you have opened the fuse box
