Can't work out how the hell to fish at all, full stop.
is the bobber needed 1st time? or 2nd?
the explanations here just aren't clear enough.

Right, zoom view of the rod, drag the bobber just above the float to make the full rod.
Then drag the rod +float just below the left pole.
