i am having the exact same problem i have seen the spoilers for the code and board stuff but i must be slightly retarded cause i cant figure that crap out.

Is 4782,But I don't know if that changes from one game to another,so I'll put an explanation:

1-look at the socks with stars,notice that the dear noses are colored and each sock has different number of stars,so:
yellow=1
blue=3
red=6
green=5
2-look at the board with colored circles and replace the circles with their values
3-now you have one blank square in each row,Try to find its value.The numbers are from 1 to 16 and the only missing numbers are:2,4,7,8.the sum of numbers of each row [from top to bottom] is=30 ,27 ,26 ,32.
Now you can geuss that the sums of all of rows have the same value(34) so the blank sqaures=4,7,8,2 from top to bottom,code = 4782(

Milkbone I think there are 2 endings the 1 I got I didn't need to use the cats name, I think it depends on the pen color you get, mine was red.
