The comb will not be use anywhere but in on one of the code you'l find throughout the game, the teeth of this comb will conceal some letters in order to see another sentence appear if that make sense. Also there is nothing at all under the mat.
Have you opened the teel yet, the computer, found the head in the shampoo room, the remote for the air conditioning system?
If not get back I'll help you wisely.

do you have to be able to read japanese to finish this game? I did the thing
with the comb covering the letters to make a new sentence but I can't read it.

Ok, with the head you have to wait a little while to use it! First you need to resolve the " mirror message " case. You have probably found the hair dryer in the back shampoo room, plug it underneeth the big mirror, the remote control ( ccharged with the batteries you find in the computer's mouse ) will help you to change the temperature of the room. Therefore you will see some sort of message on the big mirror.
You also need to find a broken piece of mirror.
