I needed to translate the writing on the floor. It reads (more or less):

(Hint of number of box) as for 1 day, no. of minutes?

EDIT: I just found...I guess it's a can opener of some kind, but nothing to use it on.

I'm done this game now..if anyone needs a hint or two..

you have to play the game a couple of times..the cat keeps distracting you..every time the cat distracts you, you have to use someting in your inventory to distract him. I beleive it was the second time I distracted him that I saw him next to shelf near game.

Crimson, I just replayed it. You have to click on

the portion of the game system you plug the cartridge into as well. You are blowing out the dust I think.

Found can, fed cat, its on the tv now, what next?

You should be able to

take it back out again. Do that, then examine it until you are looking at the bottom of it. Click on the bottom and it will work when you put it back in.
