I am very, very relieved to hear it were bugs. I felt so disappointed. I am glad I was wrong after all.

So, you are taking the two keys with you, however you didn't collect them? That doesn't make sense. Perhaps the two guys (who obviously aren't Gamershood members, no one is so mean here. ) took them back since you didn't collect them. Just trying to make some logic in here.
