For 10--

Make a connection between the previous words. Remember Jack's hint--the answer is not spelled correctly. You need to take out one of the double letters.

For 8:

Try using a rotation cypher. There are plenty on the web, but I'm not sure how far to rotate.

For 9:

Follow the clue. For each symbol, don't look at what is there, but what is missing.

Also, could someone pm me a more transparent clue for 10? I still don't quite get it. Perhaps just the first letter of the answer?

I believe that 8 is actually

a cryptogram, not caesar.

I'm back sooner than I expected.

It is a caesar cipher because each letter shifts by the same amount while in a cryptogram each letter is replaced by a random letter.

To be fair, I think an actual ceasar cypher is when the message contains a perfect square number of letters. The message is written vertically in a box, and then read horizontally.
