there are only 12 boots total if there are 6 pairs each of black and brown...so to get one pair that matches, wouldn't it be logical that if you take 7 boots out, there should be a match at least once???

Look, here's a hint:

If you have two of those pairs, and they don't match, then how many more pairs do you need in order to have one of black or brown?
