It seems, that the site is back up under a different url, but I didn't check yet. Such a shame to see its gone. It was really great, started in 2004, the "mother" of all online riddles...

Well, with the barcode, this will be a tough one... The barcode is all to blurry, I fear there is no chance to convert it to ascii...

You know barcodes has 4 parts and one of them called STOP.

after a long time of absence I came back to try and solve the riddle. I see there has been little progress since I stopped more than a year ago at level Stop.

I've been looking at level 53 (wicked wizard) cause I think that one is leading to a false path. Since the wizard.swf and the .../y-*****-y/... url I think it very likely that we are on a false level. And than there is the wizard saying: You will get lost forever if you fail... Waiting forever sounds pretty lost to me.

When I took a better look at the level found more clues that may lead to the right place. Here is what I got on level 53:

Wewillrockyou and two loose letters I and M

I combined the M somehow with the song Wewillrock you

We will rock you from Queen. M is often used to indicate male, a male Queen would be a King

After that the I was pretty obvious to me.

Take a good look at the wizard.

In the land of the blind (the wizard has no eyes) the one-eyed man is king

I tried a lot of things with these clues but got nothing yet think it has to do something with

the man that appears on the left he is the only person with eyes, but on the other hand he has glasses. Or maybe it has something to do with the animals the pig and the cat.

Other hints I found that made me think this has to lead somewhere:

The wizard says: "Only the brave will see the light"
The doll has flickering eyes
The guy appearing on the left and right of the wizard has white eyes as well
the level is full of circles, eyes?

maybe someone has a brilliant idea to get all these clues to some good result.

Hmmm... I always did believe that the answer to that level was kind of easy for a level that far into the game...

So maybe there are two actual answers to that level, one leading through a false (and long) set of levels, and ending in the never-ending Level Stop. The other must lead through the correct path...

Also, I remember Squid saying somewhere that he has been creating tricks and false paths to only allow THE ONE to reach the end, and he also said they they were working!

So I suppose now that we should invest much of our time into trying to find an alternate answer to level 53.... good luck riddling!

As of Sunday, March 8, from 12:00 AM to 1:00 PM (EASTERN TIME, you do the math), there is going to be a HUGE Amnesya meeting on the Amnesya mIRC channel. All arrivals will discuss topics related to Amnesya, as well as you know what

Hopefully we will be able to get some things done and clear some things up...

Lastly, and probably most important of all, all Amnesiacs arriving will be waiting for the legendary appearance of Squid or Dukes! If we get enough people to come, I sincerely hope that Squid or Dukes would be oh so king enough to arrive and have a little friendly chat with their fellow Amnesya fans

I would really like to join the big IRC party, but I'm not home on sunday.

Right now I'm going back to level 53, starting to track down the fake levels. I found the "stop when it gets hot" and one other thing so far: One level is named: Mr. w** Side A and the source says: look at the "other" side. And there is another level tht says: this is the other side 54 / 45... Might this be another hint to take a closer look at level 45 again? The we**** ba******?
What came to my mind, when I thought about it was "Eyes wide shut"... BUt I couldn't make anything of it so far.

Shematics mentioned that the solution for level 53 seemed to obvious, but then again, what about the solutions to AA and AB and AC??? At least AB and AC where very easy in my opinion.

One last thought: Last week, when I entered part of the number of the jar in google, I came up with a site and after some reserach I found this: http://newideas.net/adhd/neurology/impulsivity-research. Maybe too far off the track? But then again I still wonder if there has been some damage done to the brain... (the whole amnesya idea, Maybe drug abuse???) Didn't anyone find the username/password combination to AA-AE suspicious???

about level 53

Just a random thougth about level 53:

Only the right thing will bring you to the right place. What if the right thing is something on the right side?

For level stop I think there is a solution to it either if it is a fake level or not, at least all other fake levels until now did have a solution and finaly brought you back to the point where you went wrong. So I am still thinking about that level as well, although I am pretty convinced it is a false level only by solving it we would know for sure (if we get redirected to level 53 or some other level)

another thought:
What if it is in some way the oposite of level 31 with the dog. This time not l***** to the m**** c*** but w**** it. I'm going to try and see if this leads somewhere, I'll let you guys know.

on level Stop:
For the changing of seasons, maybe it doesn't matter what season is mentioned in the source. If you have to count in the source, every season has 6 letters so as long as no letter from there is needed to get the solution it doesn't matter.
But then again wich numbers can we use to count with? I guess some tried the background numbers already on that.

The fake level to which you are referring is Reflections, and the source says "This is the right side", not the other side. I agree with you that it is interesting that Mr-w** says to "look on the other side", but I don't think this has to do with level 45. When you open Reflections on 54-60, the title is always the level number and the reverse. You could just as easily have had it pop up "57 75". The only reason 45 is unique is the other "reversed" numbers aren't existing levels (that we know of).

BTW, I did a comparison of the sources for the real 54 and the very similar fake one, and there were some changes. Nothing too major, but why make any changes at all? They changed the usemap code from "PhMap0" to "FPMap0" -- maybe this means something to somebody (not my gig). They also changed market to supermarket, the wine and beer to coke and orange juice, and cow milk to cake. No more baking soda, no more bleach, and a few minor capitalization/grammatical changes. Again, why make any changes?

Also, on the extra letters in level 53, the "real" solution isn't the c****** letters, but the f**** letters of each s*******. I don't know why they did what they did with the last word, but I'm not sure it's a "clue".

I am amazed at the effort they went through on the fakes -- 20 fake levels -- just to screw with us... or not. I'm looking for clues in all of those fakes, especially the fake version of the real 54.

Lastly, I've looked through all the images floating behind the wizard, and even the wizard himself; there is a definite circular similarity (clock, moon, Gandhi's bald head, engine cogs, doll eyes, voodoo dolls cheeks), even the wizards hands. It could relate to eyes, or maybe something else? And where does the cat and the upside-down chair fit in? Or the vine? Hmmmmm.....

If the "real" 54 is a fake, that means they created 20 fake levels, then another 12 fake levels (54-60, AA-AE) just to completely throw us off track. If so, pretty diabolical.

How else could we get lost forever if there were only a few fake levels?
And the 20 fake levels are actually 20*7 = 140 fake levels (54,55,56,57,58,59,60 > 7)

I hate this wicked wizard, I wan't to get to the wicked wizard of OZ. But I can't find the yellow brick road and than still I should first find some brave lion to lead the way. Can't someone just give me some nice ruby slippers.

BTW if we already found the right answer to lvl 53 than I think that is a very bad level, there are so many things great in that level that are just useless than. I really hope lvl 53 has an other right answer. The more I look at that level the more strange things I come up with. Level Stop on the other hand totally frustrates me I can't think of anything usefull on that level, no ideas there.

Uhhh... I'm pretty sure the answer is spelled out from the capitalized letters, not the first letter of each sentence...

Like I promised to Kaan, The Wizard© whispered to my ear this morning that the dictionary words will not help us in the wizard folder. So, I suggest we forget the "go to back to level 53" idea, unless you want to put the answer to one of the fake folders or have answer that is not word.htm.

Maybe we will use wizard for find the answer but we will write the answer somewhere else...
