there is no solution to level stop.

I don't know this for sure, but considering that a) there's very little, some could say no information in the level to possibly derive any answer from, and b) even working together, no one has solved it after being there for at least 20 months. to put that in perspective, the hardest level of notpron only took three months even when everyone was working alone.

so, yes that means stop is the end, or at least a "temp end" for amnesya. although, part of me sort of doubts the "temp" part of that. if stop is the end, then that means that no new levels have been made since the riddle was put online two years ago. considering squid and dukes' perceived lack of interest in the riddle (i.e, they refuse to tell us if stop is a temp end or not), it seems that amnesya is an abandoned project, and that stop is the disappointing, anticlimactic end. and you know, that's fine! amnesya has had a good run, with 66 enjoyable levels. and that's including the 4 gates as one level, even though it's really more like ten. it's not the fact that stop is most likely the end that I'm angry about.

what really makes me mad is that squid and dukes clearly don't give a [!freak] (can I swear here? I'll just play it safe for now) about their fans, not even enough to simply tell us if stop is the real end or not. who can tell how many man-hours have been wasted simply plugging answers into stop, searching for clues in the swf file, trying to make sense of the nonsense, etc? they're just wasting all our time! you know what? that's [!freaking bullpoopoo].

essentially what they're doing by not telling us that stop is the end, they're ensuring that if/when they put up new levels, no one will have lost interest in amnesya. in this situation everyone who was playing before will still be playing when they finally update it, but if they just came out and said "stop is the end", I can guarantee, we'd all leave and maybe not even notice when they put up a new level. so, really, they're just taking advantage of us, and I for one, don't like it.

squid and dukes, if you ever read this, then please, just tell everyone whether or not stop is the end, and just admit it if you're too lazy to make any more levels.

I know, I could be wrong. I'd love to be wrong! but for now? tell squid and dukes that you won't put up with their [!poopoo] anymore. just follow the level's advice and completely stop playing amnesya, at least until we learn what's going on.

There is a solution to level stop

Of course I'm not sure about that, but I think so. It is true, that there are not many hints on level stop, no google search bar and so on. I think is all about time. The summer autumn winter spring changes are so obvious, yet I wonder if anybody has found out the exact time, when the site changes from summer to autumn to winter to spring. These exact times might be the key. Again this is cruel, because it would take you at least one year to get all changes and the exact times. But this is nearly the only thing left I#m thinking about. So the question remains: At what times didi the site change? Day, hour, (perhaps even minute or second).... Three (or four) numbers for each change and then.... Maybe coordinates.... Maybe google earth again... maybe nothing??? Just my thoughts.

Bunnyman, I agree with you. We have proven level Stop has not answer. There is no answer in Stop folder and we did not manage to find any folder/domain which would hold the level after AE.

We started solving stop in a group in November 08 and we have had from 5-20 people in the IRC channel solving it. We really tried "all" the ideas from the past levels and what Stop could offer. After couple of months, I asked Squid if it is ok to use brute-force and he said it is ok. So we basically tried all answers in Stop folder and elsewhere but it gave us nothing. The best thing we found (not using brute-force though) was the AF-AI folder and level AG which Squid removed when we told about it.

Markuszar, we have recorded the times of changes within one minute. They don't follow the right equinox/solstice times. So there is no way telling when the source changes. Last spring it changed in different time than this year.

If there is answer to Stop, then it is not something you type in URL of Stop folder. It is something like subscribe rss feed, use some program and connect amnesya server, ..., something out of box which gives you link to future level which is something like https://www.amnesya.com/very-weird-f...uess-by-trying. But I doubt that it is something like that because there are no hints on level Stop of such thing...

If the stop level is the official amnesya end, then we had solved the riddle...

Squid wrote in the official forum, that level stop will stay where it is and as it is, without changes, and he wrote that level stop is not a stop. For me this means that there must come something after level stop.

What if the solution is not an URL related to amnesya.com?

Ponderer: if you recorded all the time changes (and I know that the changes don't follow the correct times) did you try something with them, because this seems tho be the only thing in this level we have related to the hints in the source.

I don't think that level stop is the end, even not a temp end, but that is just my opinion...

The history behind this is... Squid said that he considered moving Stop later on in the riddle or remove it completely... So we would solve some other levels first and then we meet level Stop again or they change it but the idea is same. They were only considering this, and decided that they wont make the change. That's too bad because many people hoped for the change.

Exactly! If the level has an answer then this seems to be the case.

Think about it. The times do not follow the right times. How should we find the times when the change occurs? Do you really expect that the riddler should be refreshing the page every minute for say 2 days?? If the riddler misses the right time, then you have to wait for 3 months...
