Amnesya (Special thread for level Stop)

I'm sure you're all familiar with enigmi, the other riddle by squid and dukes. it's basically just an italian amnesya. however, some levels are changed, some are the same, some are moved around, some are taken out entirely, some are similar in some ways but different than others, etc. for example, instead of the level the 4 gates, they had a level called the 5 gates.

so, what's the story there? has anyone ever reached the end of that game? is there a level that mirrors level Stop, or is there no level Stop? if there is one, are they stuck at level Stop just like us, or have they passed it? I'm sure there's at least one person at this level who can speak Italian, can't they find out what the deal there is?

I still think Stop is the end, I'd just like to get this matter settled...

Enigmi has been solved by lots of people, even by me, and all I can tell you is, that there is no level like stop. Well, at least no one, which looks like our stop ( changing source code etc.)

But there is also a level, not far away after the 5 Gates, which never has been solved, the infamous level JT. You got there a password protected zip-file, but noone ever found the password. To pass it, you had to go back and correct something. We already tried to correct the same thing on amnesya - as you can imagine, we had no luck.

Hi all
I had come to lvl stop long time back and seriously stopped playing amnesya after that!
I just wanted to point out something i found and clear a few things.

1. I remember that people had tried the 'visiting stop once in a season' idea. What happened about that? Did anyone get some new message or clue?

2. I think (if this level's got some answer) its related to the userbar because squid or dukes had given a comment on it in the forums. (he said 'nice userbar') That surely must be on purpose.

3. Maybe the answer is hidden within the source code in some form.(like the amnesya key lab level or somethin) .
I dont know if this is useful but if you count the number of characters in the first line of the hint(excluding spaces), the number comes out to be 50. And the second line also has 50 characters but the problem is, there are 3 extra characters which is the smiley :-)
Since all seasons have 6 letters, it doesnt matter which season.
Maybe the season thing is just a red herring.
btw the userbar says: 014-215090 HD

This level is simply frustrating!

There are a lot of clues in level:

1) Amnesya system is being created
2) Source Code
3) Brain in jar? Maybe mean something..
4) Text on jar
5) Barcode
6) Numbers in Background
7) Snake (or python) in jar
8) And something else...

And I think Squid and Dukes didnt do a level without answer. I think we should work about it in IRC again... Because I didnt see thegamemaster and bunnyman in IRC so maybe they can found something by our thoughts.

And we didnt read barcode yet? Am I wrong?

What about Flap's egg page? Maybe it was in Stop folder?

And there are wizard.swf in source? And we dont know why?

You can see, there are lots of questions that we must find out and it is too early to give up...

The wizard.swf is not within the amnesya code. So its not a hint but maybe solving this level will take us back to wizard.( I hope not!)

I am not any computer wizard, and cannot possibly read the numbers in the background by any chance. And I dont think squid and dukes would make such a level which needs us to use some program to stop those numbers.
So I dont think that it will lead us to any solution. But it may be a reference to the matrix.

Flap's egg page? Whats that? What egg are you talking about?
Could you PM me a link to this egg if possible? And how did flap discover the hidden egg?

And one thing I found out:
the 'errore' folder in the robots.txt page...
that is not part of any level.If you go to the 404 error page and check the source code you will find http://www.amnesya.com/errore/404
This leads to the error page. Dont know about the 'restricted' folder.

Flap said that she found an egg page. But she never told it us. So we dont know anything about it.

About error page:
When you write wrong URL it turn www.amnesya.com/errore/404 I think I know restricted one too...

How do you read a barcode? You can read the text on the jar but what can you possibly do with the barcode?

problem is, the barcode is simply too small to read

edit: for a second I thought I had the answer. check out the letters that line up in the first and second row of the source. in order, there is r, t, r, e, i. then, the e in "code" in the end of "end of the amnesya code" and the e in "the" line up. these letters anagram to "retire", which fits so well with the level! but... it's not right.

(of course it would be way too easy)

I tried but it didnt work even on the barcode on the site itself.(maybe somethings wrong with my webcam)
Maybe you could take a screenshot and print just the barcode. Then scan it with this.

What do you think is the 'restricted' folder kaankanat? (level AD? bcos that doesnt exactly have the word restricted in its site)

About the date change:

I'm no computer expert, so could anyone explain in detail, how squid and duke do it? I mean if the date and time changed automatically, than this would happen at a certain given time, or am I wrong here?

@ Ponderer: this is exactly my thought, we have to find out, when the seasons change. The hint in the source says: Don't come back before the end of... So the question remains: When is the end? I know that practically this probably can't be done. All I want to know is, how do they change the date in the source? If automatically than wouldn't this happen at a specific given time?

About the barcode: The barcode is not too small. In fact you can enlarge the given swf file, so the barcode becomes pretty impressive... But, it is simply too blurry to decode it, It's very hard to decide wether certain areas in the barcode are black or white... Kind of frustrating, when I had a look. I brought in the barcode thing because a long time ago there had benn an online riddle, which has never been solved, that includeed barcodes that could be translated...

About the numbers and text written on the jar: I wrote in this thread where they came from. I'm sure this is not a part of a possible solution.

So I think there are two thing to focus on: The date changes and a diffrent URL as Ponderer pointed out.

One more thing: Doesn't anyone here think, that part of the AA-AE level where way too simple... I think about level AB and level AC... Perhaps there is more to these... Perhaps there are hints on AA - AE that give a solution for level stop... Perhaps level stop is a temp end, and the solution belongs to level AE...

They most likely do the source change with cron and php: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron

Maybe they have programmed the exact dates and added random noise to it.

Levels AB and AE were in enigmi and they were solved that way. AC is common riddle trick that many riddles have, so that is probably right, too. AD or something similar I have not seen. The idea of AA, I have seen before. But yes, we have thought if the answers to AA-AE make something together.

Maybe the brain jar represents amnesya.com and the falling numbers mean internet. The cords mean that something is connected to amnesya.com, or something is uploaded or downloaded.

On jar, it write 014-215098. And it is an userbar of this level. Try '014-215098' in google and you will find it. I think this is an IP address or a proxy....
