Well heck, I'm back and I was sure you guys would have this solved by the time I got here, but NOOOOOOoo! Even with fresh eyes this morning I can't see anything different than yesterday. I went as far as trying "Friday", if you look in the last row towards the end, there is MTWThSS, for the days of the week starting with Monday. the H should have been F. That obviously didn't work, so then I switched all the letters two back (H-2 =F) and that didn't work so much either.
We can do this today, there is brain power here from all over the world and I might be the only American on the board. Strike that, Texan
Yea same Strat welcome back could use another brain on this one, yours is good enough, so get cracking mate, sorry i havent helped much hehe but i just look at this puzzle and feel like my heads about to explode letters hurt my brain.
well.....you're all much smartest than me....because you're older....you have more experience...do you understand what i'm saying?!?
we may be older, but i wouldn't necessarily say we were smarter
we are all stuck in the same place aren't we.
Come on, us dog lovers need to stick together
I'm a bit puzzled, using your formula, i don't get those letters?? going left to right, top to bottom i get
MLDUTRZEDLS
Hmmm. Well, I did say it's 8 in the morning here. : ) I'll have to try again. I just doublechecked the first 2 letters. looks like M is correct, but L is wrong. There's 44 letters in a row, so letter 43 is the top row, second from the right, which is B.
Lots of chatter all of a sudden.. I can't keep up with you guys from work.
And, no, I'm guessing I am NOT the youngest here... ; )
Oh, wait. I see. I mean, for every letter, i'm starting again in the top left corner, not continuing on. so 73 from the top, 43 from the top, 87 from the top... not 73 from the top, 43 from 73, 87 from 43.
I converted the text using optical character recognition and have a nice neat little block if you guys want to cut and paste for whatever use it may. Thanks for the welcomes and I guarantee you I am not the youngest. I think I read somewhere that HollandGirl was only 13, but she sure does seem sharp for that age.
Ok, so what else did we learn on the other 11 puzzles that could be used here?
**Anyone who isn't up to 42 probably doesn't want to read this**
There's no hints in the background like we saw before.
I don't see anything googleable.
moving every letter a few spaces down the alphabet doesn't help.
No math involved that I can see.
Doesn't seem like there's any first-letter-of-every-word thing going on like with the Abe Lincoln puzzle...
I don't see any way that letters are drawn in here like Bishop.
Argh! Why hasn't someone smarter than me figured this out already? : )
It does seem like it has to be significant that this is an image instead of just html text. Wonder if that's to make it easier or harder to find the solution.
By the way, if nobody else has noticed, the image is called "letters", which doesn't really help.
