One of us isn't even done exams yet. I did terribly on my math exam because I was editing levels the night before.

Out of curiosity, did you guys understand the significance of the numbers in this level? Or not? and by the way, the band is from vancouver.

Not at all Cryptos--even after the fact I see no connection :/

O wait- I might not be thinking of the same level as you...let me check what you are talking about...

No not really--but I didn't try to see a significance in the numbers, past them being the answer I was looking for

I was trying out street numbers, postcodes, etc.. I couldn't make a connection so I just approached it from the logical angle and struck lucky

All i found regarding Narodnik code is Nihilist.
I was trying everything but all i have is abrakadabra.
Cryptos wrote abote 2 keywords but all i have is Goldfinger. Deviding it in two words doesn't help. Maybe i'm walking the wrong direction?

You have the right cipher, but you need two keywords to use it.

The clue is 'goldfinger' - think of a historical character with a 'golden touch'. That'll give your two keywords.

OK, i found about K*** M****. Trying to regroup columns leads to nothing. Straight decoding leads to negative numbers or numbers less then 11.

Not the word K*** or M**** or Goldfinger is a key.
Frustrated.

It definitely works - the method is as follows:

1. Create a polybius square using the first keyword
2. Lay the ciphertext out in a line
3. Work out the numbers for the second keyword
4. Lay these numbers over the ciphertext, repeating until you have enough
5. Take each keyword number away from the relevant ciphertext number and write the result
6. Convert these back to letters.

Make sure you're not using the original text (that one that had the numbers spelled out) as this had a mistake that was corrected. The new ciphertext is written numerically to start with.

Maybe it's working but not for me.
I have a problem with making a polybian square.
I was trying to take a polybian square from Nihilist and reproup columns in accordance with K*** or M**** and then do as you describe. But i have a problem with number 25 in the crypted text 'cause when i try do decrypt it the number i get is less then 11.
Can't see the mistake i've made creating polybian square.

I googled jkp 11 with intersting results vis-a-vis language learning, but haven't made a connection with solving level 31 yet. Same with the clue phrase, but I'm still struggling. I may never catch up, but I can't wait to play a sudoku puzzle.

Did JKP 11 (Roman numeral?) Get you to the Japanese educators? Don't think it is useful, but I also don't t hink it is an accident. I, too am focused on the fence business. The ruight 4 digits are in there somewhere. A date?
