to make sure im not doing this wrong, are you both getting bifids that decoded begin with "TICPEFOSIOH....." ?

I think the link to the program they used is back about three pages... I've been doing it by hand and came up with the same thing...

I've also tried dividing the 64-letter passage into groups of 16, 8, and 4... still haven't found anything that makes sense.

That was from doing it manually by the book, with no block size - all of the applets seem to give different results I've tried to spin this in every obvious way I can think of, reasoning that there isn't enough information obviously in the puzzle to suggest a weird way of doing it, and haven't got anywhere.

I am SO sorry... One stray digit through about half of the letters off. I have fixed the problem now, so now the cipher should work. Take a look at the new page.

No, i counted 61 (34 in the top row, and 27 in the bottom). Now i guess the question is which cipher do we use now and how best do we divide this number of letters up (i.e. into squares, numbers of lines etc)?

I don't understand cos yesterday i count 65 letters and when cryptos tells us there was a mistake :64 letters! and now 61??????????
