Just found this site to tinker with while I'm at work. But my grief, it's been 2 hours playing with numbers that are rat genomes and letters from appliances trying to descramble something that's driving me nuts. Even with tools it doesn't work, which means I've somehow boned getting the letters in the first place Back to crosswords for me I s'pose :p

You don't have to put 2 and 2 together but a letter and a number ---->

Am still not getting 7...

is the answer a number or a word? I am not sure how to put them together-- A+2 in ascii = c or 67...but doing that to each pair just yields nonsense - especially the X3 one

Once again I am probably missing a step!
