aaaaaaggggghhhhh *deep breath* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH
Please, would someone tell me the pattern for the second puzzle in room seven? I have been stuck here for HOURS! I tried working it logically, clicking as my fancy took me, and frenzied random clicking, all with no luck. I even tried the devious tactic of getting my SO outta bed so he could try it in a sleep deprived trancelike state...that failed too. What is this "pattern" of which some of you speak? pleasepleasepleaseplease be plain when you explain.
Did you google that number yet? If you did, you will be given the letter
e, because it's e logiritham (sp?) It says "keyboard needed" so you will need to type out those other letter groupings on your keyboard, don't enter them, just run your fingers over the groupings. As you type out the rest of the letters (since the solution others have given is buried WAAAY back) look at what patterns/letters they suggest to your mind, play connect the dots, write down each letter shape that the phrasings (one per letter grouping) suggest. I hope that's clear enough to be helpful now.
DRAT! All the caffine I drank to stay awake is foiling me now.... NOOOoooo razzin frazzin clunky dial grrrrrr *digs in stubbornly*
simsim, np. It was in my history. Figured it might prove useful to people to have a good chart to use for that puzzle, it helped me so just spreading the good luck.
Shaky hands are bad. Go one pixel at a time, until you get a clunk sound. If you go one complete rotation in one direction (say, clockwise) than change directions and painstakingly go until you get that *clunk*. This isn't a solution, because where the "hotspots" are shuffles per attempt. If you overshoot, as someone else has already stated, you have to start all over from the beginning to crack the safe. (At least you don't have to do the other two puzzles in this room over, eh?)
