      The Rose is the name of a famous theatre in which shakespeare's plays were performed...just shooting in the dark here...

          • Oh, I've found it already...and it's fragrance is "strong old rose scent" but unfortunately, not the answer.

            his plays were also performed at the rose...Henry IV being one of them

                        • ok, there is a coin called a rose-noble. apparently it is mentioned in Shakespeare's Henry VI, part one, but I haven't been able to actually read it yet...still looking...
