cucumber? If so, you're looking for a 5 letter word that sounds like a letter.

For 32:

Go in the opposite direction from what the directions tell you. Right means go left, up means go down, and vice versa. You need to record every letter you pass through, not just the ones you end on. When you finish, google what you get.

I'm still on 32 also; been there for quite a while. There are so many possibilities I don't really want to do this one. Here's what I've noticed: there are four letters with arrows, there is a blank space, there is exactly one capital letter.
I've tried various following directions from different starting points, forward, backwards, opposite. Tried left=g, down=p, etc. so "left 1, down 2, left 1, down 3..." = "gppgppp..."

Its not math, ignore the math stuff, its a red herring. look at the previous clue.

32=?

If four is half of five, then five must be eight.

Or you can think of it this way:
If 4 = 1/2 * "FIVE" then "FIVE" = 8
where "FIVE" is a variable name or placeholder for the real value.

I hate that one even though it didn't take too long to figure out. I just think it's not a very good one.
