Do you go to parties on New Years eve? Our tradition is to go out, get completely hammered on NY eve and watch football all the next day. I am not into football and I'm too old to get hammered. No parties this year. We're usually at home and eating special dinner (coz all my family gather from New Year's eve.) and wait for the midnight.
I went to the count down parties a few times some years ago..
I saw the news that the preparation for the count down in the central NY was done yesterday. Have you been there??

I have been to NY city many times but never for New Years. We are about 6 hours from the city and usually it is too snowy to drive down. My kids and I will be going to my mom's house for the night. She likes to put on a little buffet for everyone.
btw central NY means right in the middle of NY state. If you look at a map, I am just a little east of Syracuse.
