You will have to be EXTRA careful now Doglover, the ground will be slippy, and those steps will be soooo dangerous, even more so than they are already!
Naah...I wont go to the stairs...There are lots of mans now...working on the streets, I don't know how to say their profession. And they're always telling stuff like: "Hello little girl!" and they're always whistling to us...They're really stupid...hmpf...
Going on a trip around the universe on a convertible
Well this was what I wanted to show you. Artemisia became very famous in Europe for her pantings on the Judith and Holofernes theme. Now look at this picture of Judith from the Holofernes suite: http://www.wga.hu/art/g/gentiles/artemisi/judit1.jpg
See the resemblence? This is what impressed me the most, because Holofernes actually resembles her former teacher/attacker. She got herself famous, made a bundle of money, became independent and made a fool of her former teacher. Some revenge, huh, Adventure?

Yes there is sure a resemblance. And you are right. It's a great thing what she manage, especially in her time. (I confess that I had to do some searching about Judith and Holofernes at WIKI). But still in these days it is a great thing to standing up against your attacker and get stronger by it.

There was a hitch to it witch is rearly written about. In order to even have a remote chance to take the matter to the court she had to be married. So she married a weak man, brought the matter to court with the support of her very influencial father and, (it is amazing,) won. With the education she got from her other teacher, Caravaggio, she set out to become famous, did so and then kicked her no good husband out of her house. Of course she became the talk of her town...

Wow, what a courage and power that woman Artemisia had. I understand why your are so interested in her and her work, it's really a fascinating story.
